Bridging Education and the Entrepreneurial Mindset with Liza Herzog
On today’s episode, we have an opportunity to talk with Liza Herzog who leads academic research and assessment at the Close School of Entrepreneurship at Drexel University.
She shares her secret sauce with us on how she teachers her students - future educators and entrepreneurs - how to incorporate the entrepreneurial mindset into the work they plan to do.
She spent two decades in education, including seven years in higher education both as an administrator and as a faculty member, and a dozen years in K-12 education research, evaluation and policy.
Here's the four elements of success that she shared with us in the podcast:
1) Experimentation - Try doing small things in new ways!
2) Reflect - Think about how your practice, process, service works.
3) Collaborate - You cannot do anything by yourself. Share things in low stakes ways, and holding yourself accountable is the key to your progress.
4) Passion. Think about your work and how to improve on it. Who are your go to people and why?
